Hey babies!
Happy Saturday!
It's been blah and snowing for the past 3 days here.
I'm one of those people who NEEDS natural light.
I got up {although, I slept in late...ahhhhhhhh} and needed to bring some cheer into this house.
I decided I need to see some color in here. Maybe, Spring like color.
I cleaned off the farm table, moved the blue box to another location, and filled one of my favorite baskets with empty jars and a faux plant. I plan on putting something in the jars, just not sure yet. Maybe some utensils? We'll see what strikes me.
Filled another empty jar with some silk ranunculus. One of my all time favorite flowers.
Placed them right next to my favorite print:
Getting a little more cheerful in here!
Birds, and more birds:
Flowers and more flowers.
I don't decorate for Valentine's Day. Never have.
But, today I added a little love to the mantle.
The sun has been peeking out the last hour or so.
I had to refill the seams on the back door trim because it cracked something fierce.
I'm off to paint it all up and rehang the curtain tie backs.
I decided to forgo the crown on the back door.
I love/hate crown moulding.
I will show you when it's all done.
Here's to Spring.
It's only January 12th.
Uhg.
Oh, before I go, I wanted to make sure you all had piles of stuff like this in your house:
The odd Christmas decoration and construction materials waiting to be taken into the basement and be put away. Yeah. This is real life.
XOXO
All looks so fresh and pretty ! I do like your framed photos on the wall so lovely . Have a good day !
ReplyI love it! What a great way to chase away those winter blues. I live in Colorado and can relate to the snowy cold days you have in Utah. Your light blue birds made me smile. Makes me wanna get some! (When it warms up...the seat warmer in the driver side seat is broke! lol)
ReplyLove all your sweet touches of spring.Beautiful flowers! Next to roses they are my favorite!

Really lovin' all the birds you have in your house. The bird pics are so pretty. I enjoy seeing all the springy colors and flowers also. Sure cheers a person up looking at it online.
ReplyWe have lots of snow with more on the way again. Thursday we finally got all our Christmas decos put out in shed as we knew another snow storm was on the way Thursday night. Hubs had to shovel a path from our back deck down to the shed (via a small hill) Took us a few trips hauling the boxes down the hill in wagon but finally got it done and all settled in the shed.
Found my picture frames box so grabbed a few to make some projects. Today hubs vacuumed the rug/floor in mudroom where all our holiday decos had been residing til we could get them down to shed. We don't have a basement or garage. We were getting tired of having to work around the boxes. Little by little. I just subscribed to your blog. I found you thru Sohpia's.
Are you kidding? I have a whole room full of that kinda crap.
ReplyI love all the bird decor you have, I have to make myself a few new bird items.
I have the same need for sunlight. Luckily it has been clear and sunny here even though it is really cold. It hardly gets this cold here and that is why I live here.
Thanks for the Spring inspiration.
